Morphine Ghost

Morphine Ghost began as an attempt to preserve a collection of unusual documents, observations, and miscellaneous records that were never intended for publication. Some should have remained unpublished.

Much of the material once stored here has been removed, relocated, or is no longer available for reasons that cannot be adequately explained. Whether this constitutes loss, maintenance, or deliberate concealment depends upon which account you choose to believe.

The current maintainer has made repeated efforts to organize the remaining content into something coherent. Those efforts have not been entirely successful.

Several pages appear to reference events that have no corresponding record elsewhere on the site. Others seem to anticipate visitors who have not yet arrived. A small number of articles cannot be edited without unexpected changes appearing elsewhere.

This behavior has been documented. No satisfactory explanation has been found.

Visitors occasionally report a sense of familiarity while reading material they are certain they have never seen before. This is considered anecdotal. There is no evidence that the website is aware of individual visitors. There is also no evidence that it is not.

The recurring references to "her" are not part of a coordinated fictional narrative. No employee, contributor, or volunteer admits to writing them. Attempts to remove these references have been inconsistently successful. If you discover additional occurrences, they are requested to remain unreported. Some things are easier to ignore than to correct.
